Comments: A good series for those who want some family bonding sessions. It will also please anyone who watches it with its sheer storyline. One of the best Anime i have seen. It revolves around the story of two brothers , which me and my brother really liked, and how these two faced difficulties and problems to reach their goals. it also features friendship, loyalty, traitors, drama and action which is nicely wrapped with genuine goodness!
Watch FMA, I recommend it! i also recommend it's full length movie which closes the FMA series nicely.
Animation: 10/10 Storyline: 10/10 Sound: 10/10 (Check the opening and Ending songs! it rocks!)
Overall: 10/10 need i say more?
so check this one out. It will be worth your time and money.

I'm not entirely positive of saying that it's great for family bonding sessions, 'cause it depends on your family. It's really sort of an angsty series, isn't it? I mean, I wouldn't have an eight-year old brother watch it, 'cause then they'd start thinking about what they'd do if Mom died and dad disappeared. He's eight, let him enjoy life, y'know? I love the series, myself. I'd say it's the kind of thing that peers could bond with; grab some friends and show them the series. No one will be disappointed. Mom and Dad probably won't get it, and siblings depend on age and interests. I do agree that it's great for bonding. When it was on TV, I had long talks with my drummer every week, trying to figure out what would happen next. A great anime for discussion! Just probably not for the kiddies, what with all the death and blood and bodies and... I'm gonna have to include a Spoiler tag if I continue.

try asking riotblade if he can put it in our animeseed list. if not you can message me at IRC for the sources
edit:
and thanks for the response, a little constructive criticism wont hurt. anyways i do agree that it depends on the family. its just that when i made this review, my family is what i had in mind, and our youngest is already 18 years old so thats why it applied to us.
all in all , FMA is such a good movie , and the brotherhood shown is so perfect to its core that the subtle angst or parents-all-gone- storyline will not , for me, affect the kid while watching it.

Yeah, I definitely didn't want to knock on the series, 'cause it's definitely one of my favorites. It's actually one of the few animes shown in America where a 14-year-old boy actually ACTS like a 14-year-old boy, you know? I mean, you don't have barely-teen Gundam pilots acting like adults because of the huge weight of responsibility. They just deal with it as best they know how. I really admire the show. Hope I didn't send mixed signals.

I'ts interesting how in these series they intertwined the alchemi and the parallel dimension joining everithing together, as to come to this dimension and see germany's obsesion for power and domination, well as seen in the movie, even the ED on this dimension WOW very nice story, some of the names in the anime are taken from actual people and stuff that it's rumored to be true.

Yaaay! I simply adore FMA! Definitely in my top 5 for anime (it's really what more or less got me truly addicted to anime) I'm so happy that you gave it such a great review. Who hear has clapped their hands/ drawn a circle to try and transmute something? I know I've done it a few times This is probably one of my favorite animes... although any1 have any idea what language the song "Brothers" is sung in?.. I was guessing German but, honestly no clue..
I'm 85% sure it's german. Though it could be something else along those lines too... (Russian? Romanian?)

Just finished it a few days back, it truely was a very satisfying watch. I enjoyed the series from start to finish, and there were few (if any) sorts of filler episodes, so that gives it a nice leg-up over Bleach and Naruto for me. I really enjoyed the concept, the originality, the background messages, and the overall story and adventures. Really, nothing to complain about anywhere in this anime. Bravo! 10/10

I watched this series years ago and I still like it to this day. Just everything makes sense about the Anime. The Equivalent exchange, Movie Spoiler The fact that millions of people had to die in order for Alchemic energy to work rather than you just sacrificing whatever for Alchemy. That has to be the most touching part of the movie, you sit there and think you are on the good side, yet you then realize you probably kill someone every time you use Alchemy. The brothers trials, and heartache, the adventure, the alchemy, the awesome plot, the emotions, the amazing ending. The great intro and ending songs. Everything about this Anime totally made me wanting to watch more EPIC Anime just like this one. 100/100, 5 Stars, etc. etc. Seriously, Watch the Movie, it will make your jaw drop, you don't know what your missing out on until you've seen it!
