So, I was surfing the internet, minding my own business and then somebody joins our IRC chat room and exclaims his love for JayC Chasez. However, this mysterious stranger who seems to be deeply in love with JayC Chasez, also seems to enjoy e-dating and wants to share his cyber world with JayC Chasez. So, I've let my curiosity get the best of me to create this poll. I personally don't believe in e-dating, but I want to get some feedback and opinions from our community members.

I'd say the chance to judge someone based on their personality alone is one of the better points of online dating but, it's fairly easy to lie to people over the internet so it comes with that risk.
If you randomly met the person online there's a decent chance the person lives nowhere near you which can be a pretty big obstacle in a relationship although if dating websites can be considered "e-dating" it seems a little more practical then hoping you randomly find someone at work, school, a bar etc...

like said before you can get those people that lie over the internet and you don't really have a way of knowing or not until you meet them. It can be good though because some people might find it easier to just fill out the personality test and then just auto meet people compared to just random pairing.
There is always a risk however considering some of those weird online stalkers or w/e.
Regardless E-dating does seem to be rising in popularity however i don't think i'll be rushing to try it out any time soon

but yeah i can understand the unknowns part but that is also part of dating. meeting somebody new and unknown getting to know them better

Definitely, yes. I'm in a long distance/online relationship right now. My girlfriend, who lives in America, flied here to Sweden over to summer and stayed for a whole month, and we had lots of fun, and I'm going to go to America to celebrate Christmas with her this year. I've never been this in love before, so yes, I do believe in online dating.
