Now that ive read many books since ive posted here i have a new favorite character. Or erm...three favorite characters? ;D I would have to go with Mau'dib (AKA Paul Atreides) from Dune, Duncan Idaho also from Dune, or The Tyrant Leto II again from Dune.

The coolest character i can think of from a book would have to be

DETECTIVE ALEX CROSS FROM JAMES PATERSON NOVELS..(like 10 in the series which is why i hvnt named the actual book)

Call me wierd, but Tom Bombadil from the Fellowship of the Ring in the Lord of the Rings trilogy really sticks in my mind. A pure supporting character but one that was well written and well characterized.

Anyone ever read the Darksword series? Simkin from that seires has to be my favorite character when i play video games i always try to have some orange on my characters now in honor of him...
