my favorite is jasper from the twilight series just because he can control emotions and because he is a vampire
next is fang from maximum ride series. He's an angel and he has that dark side to him

i liked it, the main character did get a bit on my nerves but not that it disctracted from the story at all. I mostly read it because all the girls in my school were reading it/talking about edward and i wanted to find out about this edward dude. but yeah try it and if you like it there are another 3 books to read right afterwards. Also "The Host" is a good book to read from the same aurthor which reminds me

another favorite character(yes i know i can't make up my mine) is Wanda from "The Host" for being just so caring and unselfish

I'd say my favorite characters are Doyle,Frost,Mistral,Queen Andais,Rhys,Sholto,and Barinthus.

I got one vote for Arthur Dent (HHGttG)
and one for Gillian Boardman from Stranger in a Strange Land. I could have said Michael Valentine Smith, but to me Gillian is a good strong versitile female character and is a good example of the strong but feminine women in Heinlein's books.
