I hate audio books because sometimes they just don't read it right, in my opinion.
Mostly I buy my books off of Half.com. Almost any book. Super cheap.

I usually go to Borders if I am searching for a book ... but if I go to just a regular bookstores, I just buy the ones I find interesting... I also shop online for books when I can't find the book I am looking for or when I don't have the time to go out and buy it... I get many books from my relative and friends because they know I love books!!! lol...

Dymocks Books chain (Tends to stock a few of the unusual novels)

and of course the second hand bookstore down the road called "Browsers" so much fun in there floor to ceiling of old and used books with random piles on the floor all the time half way through sorting... heh it's like how they show libraries sometimes on video games

You should check out books by the company FullCast Audio.... they are narrirated by the authors, and each character has a different voice actor. It is pretty epic. They are pretty small still, and there are only a handful of authors involved (Bruce Colville owns it, and there is Tamora Pierce, and some others) I didn't like audio books till I downloaded one from them...Geared more toward teens, fyi.

I get my books from the library when I can. I have library cards in 2 states, 3 counties, and 4 cities...lol. About half of them have online resourses (online books to download) and then I can burn them onto CD. Pretty nice. When I can't get a book from the library, I get them used... There is A Good Book, which is used, and another one that I can't remember the name of. What is cool for me, is I can trade in my old books for store credit, so it is kinda like a library, but I don't have to give them back... Unless I want to get new ones? That sounds kinda like netflix to me...I think there IS a company like that somewhere in fact.... I think. Now I have to go look into it.
