Personally, It's one of my favorite trilogies. I found it by randomly pulling a book off of the library shelf. Luckily it was the first one, otherwise I probably would have gotten really confused!

I'm pretty sure that Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorson are the only three.

Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorson are the only three, though those are not his only three books. Try the "Seventh Tower" and "Shade's Children" for even more harrowing adventures.

Those are great books, I also liked Across the Wall, and the Ragwitch. Keys to the kingdom series is also good.

Another series that seems similar kinda in flavor to Abhorson to me are the books...um, When Darkness Falls, To Light a Candle, Outreached Shadow, by Mercedes Lackey... They are the Obsidian Trilogy. They kinda had the same.... atmosphere, to me at least. All of them are very good books, enough so that I bought them instead of just checking them out.

In regards to Abhorson, I really enjoyed that series as well. It is likely what got me more into the fantasy genere in middle school *feels old again*.

I'll have to look into it Yellojacket, I've been looking for a good set of books to read - and I really enjoyed Shade's Children.

the Abhorsen books are pretty sweet. if you like them, then i would recommend the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson.

I'll check out Mistborn.

I was a fan of the trilogy but I did not enjoy the 4th short story that revolved around Nick. He isn't a very strong protagonist.
