I only play 1 Private Server which is called TragicRO. It has a 1000/1000/600 rate which is arranged by Base Exp/Job Exp/Drop Rate.
Thy also have costum items but th server is kinda unstable sometimes since it just started this January but the GMs r rilly kind and sometimes helps u get cards and etc.(If theyre in d mood)

Tried a few but currently sticking with RebirthRO (lowrate) as it's stable and I haven't had any problems with the people I've met there.

i play on a total of no donation items 100% free server 15/15/15 are the ratings customs that are not too overpowered but hard to get but still obtainable very nice community the GM's are like very helpful and kind its also a low population server that is still growing 2 main guilds that are at war!!! kinda like basilisk!!!! but over all that everyone has fun there make jokes help each other out and just all have a great time!!!!

Rebirth eh Felix? That was the first one I tried.. but it crashed a lot for me so I joined Spiritus.. that ones probobly my favorite all time Private Server.. they're up-to-date, nice GM's, variety of rates.. the only problem is the excess donators.. They piss me of sometimes!#$@*~

Makes the not so pro players unbeatable and thus taking all the fun away from the game. Now I play on an official server, which is pretty damn hard... rates are 0.5/1/1 I think.. and no teleportation no wof wob dying once -5% exp and many more

If it's an official server, then why are the rates 0.5 for base exp? o.o

I have had crash problems with Rebirth, although I have to reset my control skin every time I go on. I don't see much of Donation abuse, mostly a few fairy wings here and there.
Given time I might try other RO sites but not for now.

It took me a while to figure out the 1/1/1 and 1/1/5 stuff as a lot of servers get it into their heads everyone already understands these terms and forgot there are always newbies to the game trying things out. One mistake on my part was trying GartheringRO, a munchkin server if ever there is one. I killed a poring and leveled up ten times... I left fairly quickly after seeing that happen.

I had played RO before, on the English server when it first came out (and was free), but when they started charging I didn't have a credit card nor a store near by that sold the new cards that they made so I quit. I didn't even realize that there were private servers out there until recently. I'd just gone off and played others games like Tales of Pirates and Maple Story... now I'm back with the one I loved at first...

I've been going from private server to private server for a few years now. XD; Really, there are so many out there that if you look hard enough you're bound to find at least one that turns out to be what you'd want in a RO server.

i am on a private server called nibelro is a small server waiting for people to come rates are 15/15/15/5 so try it out the woes are starting to get really funny because the people in there now is high lvl so yeah
