The dude sounds like my boyfriend in some ways.
He had a huge addiction to playing Magic the Gathering.
Even now when he plays it he still blows me off and doesn't talk.
It still kind of hurts.

It's easy to judge if you haven't experienced it or felt something like it.. That's like talking about alcoholics or cigarette smokers to simply "pick up a book" or "go outside". If it were that easy we wouldn't have addicts in the first place

Yes, She being Emily, Mike's girlfriend at the time said she hated when Mike was trying to get to lvl 40 on EQ. That night he ended up lvling to 40 instead of joining her in bed.

The woman I had once told was the love of my life was sitting undressed in my bed not a foot away from my computer desk, begging me to join her, and I kept putting it off. I was so close to level 40 I could taste it. I was in the Dreadlands, kiting large enemies back and forth, killing them slowly with my Bard songs. I still remember the urgency I felt, along with the annoyance that this woman was trying to keep me from reaching my goal. Couldn't she understand how important this was to me?
