Story was pretty weak and the characters were also poorly written.

I can't believe I actually survived that. After about ten chapters I realized that I'd gotten to the part where I shouldn't care about it and I wondered why I kept reading it...

I kinda enjoyed it... even if the main character and love interest were stupid as hell, the secondary characters managed to make up for it in my opinion.

I suggest you give the manga a second chance. Embrace and accept your hate of the main characters. They deserve what they get...
