hey all, new to anime seed .

i recently bought the xbox 360 game 'dynasty warriors: Gundam' very cheaply. im really enjoying it, and its inspired me to watch some gundam

but, i dont know where to start.

ive check on wiki (our realiable source of information for everything *cough*) and there are loads of tv series and films.

i want to watch gundam from the beginning. so, which gundam series do you think i should watch first? and are there any gundam series i should avoid? (if any)

Well the original series is called Mobile Suit Gundam. If you want to start at the beginning chronologically I would watch that. All the series are different though, save the fact they all have Gundams, so you can really watch any series you want. My personal fave is Gundam Wing, so I would recommend that if you just want a good example of a Gundam series.

And at all costs avoid Superior Defender Gundam Force. For some reason, someome decide to make a series with cute little people sized 3D Gundams, and makes the voices in my head very angry

Personally I liked 080 myself, quite a few people have only seen Seed or Wing out of the Gundam series and thats what they've come to expect or like out of the lot. But I found this for you its the series chronologically speaking, not broadcast but universe wise. The bolds are the animated series, and U.C stands for universal Century which is the year in the universe its meant too be. It's a long list so it's spoiler tagged:

Gundam 00 or Gundam Wing are the best ones so watch those.

I have seen quite a few of the series myself, i prefer Wing. 00 is also very good. 08th MS Team is pretty good too, thought its short, only 12 episodes. Its a fun watch.

The entire series is worth watching and reading, but I recommend watching Mobile Suit Gundam First. After all, it was the series to kick off the Gundam Franchise.

Also, stay clear of SD Gundam Force and Gundam Seed Destiny. Gundam Seed Destiny was poorly done so if you end up watching Gundam Seed, skip Gundam Seed Destiny. As for SD Gundam Force, well.....lets just say your better off watching paint dry...>.>

Yea I have to agree Wing and G were my two favorite Gundam series, but the thing with most Gundam series they usually don't have too much to do with each other.

And yes SD Gundam sucked donkey dong.

G Gundam was watchable. heh Herb "donkey dong" i use that phrase all the time.
