[vent.animeseed.com port 3784]

Some people suggested that I make a Ventrilo server for the AnimeSeed community, so I got to work right away.  If you would like to have a friendly voice chat with other members of the community, please connect to:

How to setup Ventrilo:

1. Please download the 32-bit windows client from http://ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=1.  If you have a 64-bit version of windows, download it here: http://www.ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=4.

2. Install Ventrilo into the default path (or whichever path you want).

3. Run Ventrilo, you should receive a popup asking you if you want to view the manual.  Click no (or yes if you would like to read a little more about Ventrilo).

4. Find where it says "User Name".  At the end of the line, you'll see a "->" button.  Click that button.

5. At the new window, press "New", which would create a new profile.  Enter the alias you want to be seen as.  You may optionally enter a phonetic for Microsoft Sam to read out everytime you join.  End it by pressing "OK".

6. Next, find where it says "Server".  At the end of the line, you'll see another "->" button.  Click that button.

7. At the next window, click New once again.  Give the server a name, like "AnimeSeed Ventrilo".  Put in "vent.animeseed.com" in the "Hostname or IP" part, and leave the rest of the settings default.  End it by pressing "OK".

8. Now it should have something in the biggest box labeled "MSG: Server is available.  Press Connect".  That is exactly what you're going to do.  Press the "Connect" button.

9. Congratulations, you have successfully connected to the ventrilo server!  The default key bind is "Ctrl" to speak.  You may optionally change the key binding in your profile.

Please note, you need a MIC connected to your computer to voice chat.  You may listen to other people chat without a MIC.
