I have almost all my sisters watching anime. Kind of sad that I have no brothers, so I can't share those good anime I personally like with my sisters. Friends watch anime, but they used to criticize the genres I watch, which consists of almost all, ranging from drama to horror, minus h-. They watch the mainstream popular anime. I watch them too, but some of them drag the story too long (Bleach/Naruto/One Peace) and doesn't become worth the watch.
My parents and relatives are like the rest of yours, criticizing the nature of animation as a subgenre for kids shows. They havn't asked for a while, but when they do, I'm gunna show 'em a DVD and show them a screen full of blood, gore and violence at the puking level. :3
My PC is in the living room, so I don't/can't hide anything from them. They know what I'm watching and occasionally my mom looks over and goes, "Wao wtf is with those big boobs?!?" (well, in Cantonese), then starts laughing. I still don't know why she cracks, but so far I'm unable to give a reasonable explanation as to why boobs are big in anime.

Well...Umm....My dad seems to be fine watching it but...my mom is a (enter curse word here) and she doesnt seem to care about my family xD..Well she does care but sometimes she's just lonely xD. Im an only child so...yeah , I watch by my self all the time. I have no friends watching animes sooo its like a secret watching thing. last time my mom came into the room while in Rosario + Vampire and she saw one of the girls putting her boobs on the main character xD. well My life is like fine , I guess?
Im probobly not lucky xD

I really don't worry about it, if people cause sh*t about me watching anime, I usally just shrug it off it mostly comes outta ignorance cause all most of em see is Naruto, DBZ, Bleach and One piece in english, I kinda like one piece i don't think it's anything to shout about its near the bottom of the barrel of anime, ((Long drawn out stories with lots of filler annoy me to no end)) So they basicly see the bottom of the barrel stuff most of the time, and the english translations They'll see on TV suck cause they cut alot of things out that makes the storys only half there.

People dont give me sh*t bout anything.. its cause im sooooo cool!! heh...  everyone lufs me!!  But i wouldnt say anyone makes fun of me... more like when friends had found out about my anime addiction they just look at me a little weirdly and say "well to each their own" or something like that with a thought bubble above their heads thinking of the really lameoid ones. A couple of them have actually tried to watch one but it didn't end up being their kind of thing but thats cool at least they tried. But i agree with lazauri ... most 'normal' pple have only seen the crap on tv (in NZ only once and a while we have a good anime run) and decide thats the kind of anime that we watch all the time... they have no idea whats out there. But if my friends would have made serious fun out of something that i really enjoyed i dont think they would be much of a friend in the long run. BTW my best friend is really into anime as well so she cant really make fun of it when shes in the same boat. =^.^= |

no... my family doesnt really pay much attention to me while im watching anime... my brother also watch anime (well, he dont watch really much anime) my friends watch anime too so they dont laugh at me when i watch anime.... my cousins also watch anime

Love that. ^_^ Well I suppose I'm lucky. I don't ever get any criticism from my friends or family because my entire family watches anime and what few of my friends don't don't care that I do. Of course the second number is very few as almost all of my friends watch anime. |
